Sim Review: RaceRoom Racing Experience’s Road America

Sector3 Studios and RaceRoom Racing Experience released the world’s most famous and elite racing circuit known to man – Road America.  Located just outside of the sleepy town of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, the National Park of Speed is a 4.048 mile long, 14 turn circuit that has hosted the likes Trans Am, IMSA, Pirelli World Challenge, Indycar, Can Am, NASCAR’s Xfinity Series and more.

Known for not only great racing, but also great food (brats, yo), Road America is one of the premier tracks in North America that both drivers and fans look forward to.  Sector 3 Studios have gone above and beyond in representing the circuit with one of the best overall models of the track I can find that also includes the smartest AI behavior I’ve experienced.

Having driven the track multiple times and also chauffeured around by Kevin Estre in a McLaren MP4-12C GT3, RaceRoom does a fantastic job of making you feel like you’re actually driving Road America.  The elevation is spot on, the width of the track is perfect and the signage, trees and other landmarks are where you expect them to be.  Overall this is one of the best additions to the game to date and one I highly recommend purchasing.

If you have never been to Road America outside of sim racing, make plans to visit at least once and see what this racing, brat and beer talk is all about.
